If I asked him I'm sure he would say no, but after watching the Oscars last night, that is the only conclusion I can come to.
Now if Al Gore is actually talking about emitting "Carbon", all of us are already emitting zero "Carbon". Do you see a pencil lead like substance, coming out of our tail pipes and smoke stacks? No, what I think he means when he says "Carbon" is "Carbon Dioxide", which would be like calling Water, Oxygen. Sure, water (H2O) has Oxygen in it, but when combined with two Hydrogen molecules it becomes something completey different. Likewise Carbon when combined with 2 Oxygen molecules becomes Carbon Dioxide or CO2, which is a clear oderless gas. So if the goal here is to bring my CO2 emissions to zero, the only way I can think of to achieve that, is to kill myself.
Everything I do involves emitting CO2: driving my car, heating my house, cooking dinner, surfing the internet, taking a shower, and oh yeah, BREATHING!!!! I as an adult male who likes to ride bike, roller blade and crosscountry ski, emit about 1 ton of CO2 annually just by breathing. I could stop cross country skiing, and riding bike, because when I exercies I emit more CO2, even while typing this article I, no matter how hard I try not to, am emitting CO2.
So if they really want me to emit zero CO2, I would have no other choice but to off myself. I could do the whole run my car in the garage bit, but that could take hours and just think how much CO2 that would cause. I could shoot myself but AL Gore is against gun violence. So I suppose hanging myself would be the preferred choice, because then I would be choking off the thing that is directly to blame for "Global Warming" my breath.
No, I'm not going to kill myslef, and I know this whole article is ridiculous, and I'm not saying reducing CO2 emissions is a bad idea. All I'm saying is sometimes the "Anti-Global Warming Crowd" goes too far with its rhetoric. Remember, nothing would be "Green" without "Carbon Dioxide" because of the beautiful symbotic relationship between plants and man called Photosynthesis.
